Objective

How to install and configure the Onyx Chrome Extension in Chrome/Edge Browser.

Steps

1. Download the repository from: https://github.com/onyx-dot-app/onyx-chrome-extension/archive/refs/heads/main.zip or here:

2. Decompress the file by double click on it.

3. Install extension via the chrome browser

   1. Open a Chrome tab and type: chrome://extensions

   2. Enable Developer mode

   3. Click on Load unpacked button
      
      

      Open

      

   4. Select the previously decompress extension from step 1 and 2 and click Select button
      
      

      Open

      

       

   5. Pin the Onyx Extension from the Extensions Icon
      
      

      Open

      

   6. Click on the Onyx Extension
      
      

      Open

      

       

   7. Click on Open Extension Options button
      
      

      Open

      

       

   8. Set the Root Domain of the Onyx Extension Settings to: https://gpt.eis.utoronto.ca

   9. As an optional you can set Onyx as the default tab
      
      

      Open

      

   10. Click on Save button

   11. Click on Open New Tab to Test button to verify it works
       
       

       Open

       

   12. You can proceed and ask any question and see the results
