How-to check NetWorker client connectivity for UTORrecover
Learn how to ensure UTORrecover client connectivity efficiently with these straightforward instructions.
1. Introduction
From logging in to accessing detailed information and logging out, these instructions ensure a seamless process for onboarding clients to UTORrecover. First open a web browser and go to https://backups.eis.utoronto.ca. Note that access is restricted to on-campus or UTORvpn only.
2. Click "Login with UTORid"
Access the UTORrecover client by logging in with UTORid. If your logging fails, please reach out to backups@eis.utoronto.ca to request access.
3. Click "Enter FQDN or IP"
Enter the Fully Qualified Domain Name (FQDN) or IP address in the designated field.
4. Click "Submit"
Submit the entered information
5. Click "History Section"
Access the History section
6. Click "View Details"
View detailed information
7. View "Echo Request Details"
The Echo Request details provide you with the elements of the test including DNS Settings, both DNS lookup and Reverse Lookup, and whether NetWorker can reach the NetWorker client running on the target.
